Children's Defense Fund is a private, nonprofit organization which provides research, public education, policy development, community organizing and advocacy activities to protect children and strengthen families.

Children's Health Fund brings medical care and essential services directly to underserved children in rural and urban communities.

The Commonwealth Fund contains information about health insurance trends, strategies for improving health insurance coverage and the exploration of methods to cover the uninsured.

Covertheuninsuredweek.org offers facts about the uninsured, personal stories, links to the participating organizations and resources for those seeking health care coverage.

The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation includes information on health policy issues, including Medicaid, Child Health Plus and Medicare, and the uninsured.

Kaisernetwork.org offers reports health issues and links to other websites focusing on health issues.

New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene offers data and statistics on a variety of health topics.

New York State Department of Health provides information and reports on a range of health topics.

New York State Department of Insurance includes information and publications on health, automobile, life, long-term care, and homeowners and tenant insurance.  The Insurance Department is responsible for supervising and regulating all insurance business in New York State.

StateHealthFacts.org is a project of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation and is designed to provide health data on all 50 states.  Statehealthfacts.org provides data on more than 450 health topics.

United Hospital Fund is a health services research and philanthropic organization whose mission is to shape positive change in health care for the people of New York.

United States Department of Health & Human Services includes information on children's health issues, including SCHIP, estimates of uninsured children by state, and Chartbook on Children's Health Insurance Status.
