PATIENT EDUCATION > ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE


The ASPIRE Program provides services to alcohol and drug dependent women and their families receiving public assistance and residing in the borough of Queens. The Program provides detoxification, outpatient alcohol and substance abuse treatment, wellness services (e.g., nutritional counseling) and medical services.

In addition to treatment, the Program provides intensive case management, individual, group, and family therapy, job readiness training (including an internship program) and childcare services.

ASPIRE is an intensive six to nine month outpatient program, which participants attend five and a half days a week (Monday through Friday and a half-day on Saturday). Childcare services are available on-site for children ages one through 12 for program participants.

The program takes place at the Charles R. Drew Health Center (a satellite facility of Queens Hospital Center) located at 166-10 Archer Avenue, Jamaica (one block from Jamaica Avenue). Tel: (718) 883-6584
