| Overview
of Services Offered by Program |
Program
provides assessments and treatment by psychiatrists and psychologists.
Treatment goal is to reduce the rate of psychiatric hospitalization
for children and adolescents.
Treatment includes: emergency psychiatric evaluation and disposition;
short-term, intensive outpatient crisis intervention; brief,
focused family, individual and group therapy; specialized groups,
e.g., adolescent victims of abuse, and parent support groups.
New groups are formed to meet the needs of patients and their
families as they arise. Medication is also provided, if needed.
