| Kendra's
Law provides for cour-ordered, assisted outpatient treatment
for certain people with mental illness who need supervision
to survive safely in the community. The program staff answers
inquiries, accepts referrals, conducts investigations and initiates
or assists in petitioning the court for mandated mental health
services for AOT eligible individuals throughout the Bronx.
Once outpatient treatment is court mandated, the AOT team monitors
and reports on the provision of that care and works closely
with providers, case managers, patients and families to facilitate
compliance with the court's orders. |
