Gift
Shop:
The
gift shop is located in the lobby of Jacobi Medical Center (Building
6). Gifts, snacks, toiletries, greeting cards and many other items
are available. The gift shop also sells phone cards which can be
used by patients to make non-local calls. All local calls –
area code 718 – are free of charge for our inpatients. Gift
shop hours are: Monday and Friday 8:30 AM - 7:30 PM; Tuesday, Wednesday,
& Thursday 9:30 AM - 7:30 PM. Saturday & Sunday 1 PM - 7:30
PM.
Interpreter
Services:
An
employee volunteer bank provides speakers fluent in many languages,
including Albanian, Chinese, French, Hebrew, Italian, Russian, Spanish,
Yiddish and Yugoslavian. American Sign Language interpreters are
also available. Devices for the Deaf (TDD) and Teletic Teletype
Device (TTY) are also available for hearing-impaired patients.

Information/Visiting Hours:
Our
Patient Information staff are located in the lobby of the main building
(Building 6). They provide information about inpatients, as well
as visiting hours for inpatient units. They can be reached by phone

Visitor's
Parking:
On-campus
visitor parking is available at two visitor parking lots –
one in front of Building 1 and another in front of Building 5. Charge
for parking – with no time limit – is $5.
Jitney
Service:
On-campus jitney
service is available for patients traveling from Building 1 –
the main Jacobi Hospital Building to Building 5 – the Ambulatory
Care Pavillion. Additional jitney service is available between Jacobi
and North Central Bronx Hospital. All jitney service is free of
charge.
Chapels:
Catholic,
Protestant and Jewish chapel services are available on the second
floor of the main building (Building 1).
Food/Restaurants:
The Au Bon Pain Cafe, located off the Main Corridor on the 1st floor in Building 1, Jacobi Medical Center, serves tasty and nutritious fare in an comfortable, inviting setting. Wonderful treats, beverages, fruit, salads, sandwiches and soups provide interesting selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks. Dine in and take out service are available.
Hours of Operation - 7 Days a Week: 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Complimentary
Phone Service for Patients:
All
inpatients are provided with complimentary local phone service –
incoming and outgoing phone calls in the 718 area are free of charge.
Patient Relations:
The
Patient Relations Office is located on the first floor of the main
building (Building 1) in room 155. Patient Relations Staff are available
to help with any problems or concerns about patient care that patients,
their families or caregivers may have. Interpreter Services can
also be requested from this office.They
