As part of National HIV Testing Day and in recognition of HHC's ongoing leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS, HHC Senior Vice President LaRay Brown joined OraSure Technologies executives to ring the opening bell at the NASDAQ Marketsite in Times Square. HHC has now tested 1.12 million New Yorkers for HIV since 2005, when the public hospitals and health centers began offering screening as a routine part of medical care for patients ages 18 to 64.
At the NASDAQ event, HHC was the guest of OraSure, the company that makes the HIV rapid testing kits used to test most HHC patients. A 30-second video highlighting HHC's leading role in HIV testing was shown throughout the day on the NASDAQ Tower and Marquis in Times Square.
