"We strongly support Governor Cuomo's effort to target investments through this waiver to expand primary care, improve care coordination for patients, and help develop the healthcare workforce to meet the challenges of healthcare reform.  We are especially pleased that the Governor is expressly advocating for a dedicated investment of more than $1 billion for HHC and other public hospitals.  These much needed funds will strengthen and support HHC's continued transformation as an efficient and effective safety net for nearly 1.4 million New Yorkers.  HHC stands ready to advance the State's ambitious Medicaid redesign initiative and work with other health, behavioral health and housing partners to redesign New York's health care delivery system and meet the triple aim goals to provide better care for our patients, better health for our communities and reduce costs."
