December 17, 2008 - The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine has been available to female patients aged 9 to 26 years in all HHC hospitals, diagnostic and treatment centers and clinics since 2007. There is no cost to uninsured patients for HPV or any other vaccines. As with all of our services, patients and parents with limited English proficiency are accommodated in all facilities and patient education materials about the vaccine are available in multiple languages. As of September 30, 2008, more than 33,000 patients have received the HPV vaccine since 2007. We look forward to continued collaboration with the Public Advocate, Betsy Gotbaum, to continuously improve this and all our services.
