Gouverneur Provides Healthcare Education and Services to Celebrate Men's Health Day

NEW YORK CITY - June 23, 2005

Gouverneur Healthcare Services, part of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporations South Manhattan Healthcare Network, is proud to present Men's Health Day on Tuesday, June 28, 2005. Gouverneur helps men lead healthier lives by promoting awareness of top health concerns and providing lifestyle tips, regular healthcare checkups and age-appropriate screenings.

The Men's Health Day event will be held in the lobby of Gouverneur on Tuesday June 28th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm and will be presented in a fast track format designed to minimize wait time. Available services include prostate cancer screening, diabetes screening, hypertension screening, smoking cessation and BMI/weight management screening. Representatives from the Medicare Modernization program and from MetroPlus Health Plan will be on hand to facilitate enrollment, answer questions and provide information. As always, Gouverneur will provide both services and informational materials in English, Spanish and Chinese to meet the needs of the population we serve.
