HHC delivers more than 21,000 New York City babies each year and the expert medical teams welcome them in a growing number of modern and cheerful birthing centers. New Labor and Delivery Suites opened this month at Coney Island Hospital with the latest medical technology to safeguard mother and baby during the birth process. HHC is continually modernizing facilities and during the past five years has updated birthing services at Harlem, Jacobi, Kings County, Queens and Woodhull hospitals. Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center is next in line and will cut the ribbon to open completely renovated labor and delivery services next spring.
