Sluggers of the New York Yankees joined doctors at Lincoln Hospital at a free vaccination clinic this fall at Yankee Stadium to protect children now and for years to come against serious and sometimes life-threatening diseases, like tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, hepatitis and measles. The Yankees partnered with Major League Baseball and the Starlight Starbright Foundation to donate a Nintendo Fun Center to the Lincoln Pediatric ward.
Parents who didn't get to Yankee Stadium this year for the back-to-school immunization campaign will have another chance to bring their children to Lincoln Hospital for their vaccinations and a special gift from the Yankees on Wednesday, September 24.
Children can also get free vaccinations at any HHC child health clinic or hospital any time of the year. Visit nyc.gov/hhc to find a public hospital or dial 311 for more information about where to go for free immunizations.
