The 7th Annual Conference on Urban Health will take place Thursday and Friday, June 12th and 13th. The conference, which provides a forum to address health disparities in urban communities, is hosted by HHC's Generations Plus Northern Manhattan health network, which includes hospitals and health centers that serve communities in the South Bronx and Harlem. The first night of the conference this year will include a performance by Tony award winning actress Sarah Jones, who will perform her one-woman show about the challenges of racial and ethnic health disparities, "A Right to Care." Seven clinical sessions on Friday will explore topics to improve healthcare delivery, from patient safety to recruitment of nurses. Visit HHC's web site at nyc.gov/hhc and select "News and Events" to learn more and register for the conference.
