George Winston, the solo pianist, guitarist and harmonica player, donated half the proceeds from his two recent performances at the Abrons Arts Center to HHC's WTC Environmental Health Center. This is the second year that Winston has designated part of his New York concert proceeds to the program, which provides health services to people who are suffering physically or emotionally in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. Winston is best known for his seasonal solo piano recordings and his melodic folk piano style. He recently released a new album to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina - Gulf Coast Blues & Impressions.
