For the fifth year in a row, HHC was a flagship sponsor of the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on October 21st to raise funds for breast cancer treatment and research. Early results show that HHC walkers broke all previous records for both walkers and dollars raised.

A few days before the event, Dr. Margaret Kemeny, Director of HHC's Queens Cancer Center, was invited by the American Cancer Society to ring the opening bell at NASDAQ to acknowledge Breast Cancer Awareness Month and promote this important health fundraising campaign.
