Renaissance Health Care Network Diagnostic and Treatment Center is the hub of nine conveniently-located health centers in Central and West Harlem and Northern Manhattan. Together they provide the gamut of primary care services, including free pregnancy testing, prenatal care and delivery, well-child care, cancer screening, treatment of chronic illnesses such as asthma, diabetes and hypertension, dental services and immunizations.

Renaissance aims to deliver patient-centered, effective and cost-efficient services. To that end, Renaissance sees that each patient's care is overseen by a personal health care provider, who works with the primary care team of nursing staff, social workers and nutritionists to ensure that medical and psychosocial needs are met. Patients appreciate that they can call their physicians 24 hours-a-day, seven days a-week.

The dedicated staff has developed special programs to address the needs of each Center's community. For example, the Babygram Program provides education and support to teen mothers who are committed to completing high school. The Developmental Evaluation Clinic specializes in evaluation, diagnosis and targeted treatment for children with cerebral palsy, developmental disabilities and neurological impairments that limit intellectual, academic and communication potential. This very special program accommodates children from birth to age 21 who reside in New York City.

Renaissance's HIV/AIDS program reaches out to the at-risk population of Central and West Harlem, with the staff conducting more than 4,800 counseling sessions annually. The HIV- positive support group puts HIV-positive individuals and their families in a welcoming setting where they can readily find information, support, friendship and refuge. The HIV/AIDS program also provides community presentations on advances in AIDS prevention, treatment, nutrition and long-term survival.

The Diabetic Learning and Support program focuses on peer support and medical instruction for diabetic patients. Renaissance staff helps patients achieve the short-term goal of maintaining a safe glucose and glycohemoglobin level and the long-term goal to increase overall compliance with diabetic medication and diet regime to prevent such diabetes-related complications as heart, vascular, eye and renal disease.
