Flu Shot Information

Influenza viruses reach peak levels during late December through March and HHC encourages all New Yorkers to get their flu shots each fall or winter, especially those who are most susceptible to the flu and its most serious consequences. HHC has immunized hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, and is dedicated to protecting the most vulnerable New Yorkers against the flu. Those without health insurance will receive the vaccine at no cost at various HHC locations throughout every borough.

An annual flu shot is especially recommended for children aged 6 to 59 months, pregnant women, persons over age 50, persons of any age with certain chronic medical conditions, and people who live with or care for persons at high risk.

For more information about where you can get a flu shot, see the list below or call 311.
