Nurse Training

HHC, with funding from the Mayor's Center for Economic Opportunity, is providing scholarships for New York City residents who meet income requirements to attend nurse training programs leading to employment at an HHC hospital, nursing home or community health center.

Licensed Practical Nurse training is offered to 40 students each year, in collaboration with the NYC Department of Education Office of Adult and Continuing Education. The program will be offered each September at Goldwater Hospital's beautiful campus on Roosevelt Island.

Registered Nurse training is offered for 30 students each year, in a four-year program. The third and fourth years of the program are clinical rotations at Kings County Hospital Center.

To learn more or to apply for a program, call 212-442-3768.
