The NYC Department of Environmental Protection recently
announced the 27th annual Water Resources Art and
Poetry Contest. Second through twelfth grade students
attending public, independent, charter, or parochial
schools (or who are home-schooled) in NYC and in the
East and West of Hudson Watersheds are invited to create
original art and compose poetry that reflects an appreciation
for our shared water resources.

The Cover Design Competition encourages participants
to reflect on their lives as public school students in
New York City and express their ideas artistically in
the form of a cover design. The winning design will be
featured on the 2013-2014 Directory of NYC Public
High Schools, which is distributed to thousands
of students and their families across New York City.
Submissions are due by 11:59 pm on 2/11.

Program is launching Community Arts Leadership, a capacity-building
initiative offered to leaders of eligible community-based
cultural organizations. Mandatory application workshops
