The Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City - Mayor's Message

New Yorkers are well-known for their generosity, and giving has always been an essential element of our City's spirit. Many of our libraries, hospitals, museums, and parks were built with the support of individuals who wanted to make a difference in our City's life.

The Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City is designed to serve all those who want to be a part of this great tradition.

Since government cannot do everything, the private sector plays a crucial role in making our city safer, healthier, and better. The Mayor's Fund brings people together to fill vital needs, support innovative new initiatives, and help make New York an even more vibrant and dynamic place to live and work.

As a not-for-profit corporation, the Mayor's Fund relies on the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations. On behalf of all New Yorkers, I want to thank you for considering offering your support to initiatives of the Mayor's Fund. With your help, New York will surely continue to be the greatest city in the world.

Michael R. Bloomberg
Mayor

Message from the Chair

I am honored to support Mayor Bloomberg and the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City. As a native New Yorker, it's a privilege to work with an organization that, for so many years, has been essential to the growth and success of New York City.

Under the Bloomberg Administration, the Fund has lent its support to a wide range of programs, from "green" initiatives and graffiti removal, to after-school programs and job training. Today, the Fund administers more than 70 programs through contributions received from individuals, foundations and corporations - programs such as the Family Justice Center Initiative or OpportunityNYC. As Chair, I'm proud to work with a distinguished group of supporters who are dedicated to expanding the reach of the Mayor's Fund across the City.

I hope you'll take the time to learn more about these programs and initiatives and support the work of the Mayor's Fund.

Rob Speyer

Chair
