Designed by Kirchoff & Rose for Martin Beck and Keith & Albee in 1913, this 1,695 seat theatre was famous for vaudeville until the 1930s, when it became a movie house. It was purchased by the Nederlanders and became a Broadway theatre, most famous for Judy Garland’s 1951 performance.

Richard Rodgers Theatre, 226 West 46th Street

Designed by Henry J. Krapp and built for the Chanin brothers in 1925, this 1,322 seat theatre was originally known as the 46th Street Theatre. It was renamed in honor of composer Richard Rodgers in 1990, and is now owned by the Nederlanders.

St. James Theatre, 246 West 44th Street

This theatre was designed by Warren & Wetmore and built for A.L. Erlanger in 1927. Originally called the Erlanger, it was renamed in 1932 after the popular London theatre. Renovated by Frederick Fox in the 1950s, it is now owned by Jujamcyn.

Sam S. Shubert Theatre, 225 West 44th Street

This theatre was designed by Henry B. Herts and built for Lee and J.J. Shubert in 1913. The brothers named the 1,460 seat theatre after their brother, who had died in a train accident eight years earlier. In 1996, the Shubert Organization restored the venue to its original splendor.

Originally designed by Herbert J. Krapp and built for the Chanin Brothers in 1925, the 650 seat theatre underwent a $35 million renovation in 2003 and is now home to the Manhattan Theatre Club.

Stephen Sondheim Theatre, 124 West 43rd Street

Formerly known as Henry Miller's Theatre, the newly redesigned theatre is the first one on Broadway to be "green." Since 2010, the 1,055-seat theatre has been known as the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, in honor of the legendary musical theatre composer.

Designed by Eugene DeRosa and built in 1927 for the Gallo Opera Company, the opera house was re-named The New Yorker and converted to a theatre before later becoming a nightclub, music hall and CBS Radio Playhouse and Television Studio. The world famous nightclub Studio 54 actually existed between 1977-1979, and in 1988 it was returned to its status as a theatre. The 920 seat theatre is now managed by the Roundabout Theatre Company.

Walter Kerr Theatre, 219 West 48th Street

Designed by Herbert J. Krapp for the Shuberts in 1921, this 947-seat theatre was originally known as The Ritz. Between 1939 and 1981 it was primarily used as a broadcasting studio. In 1991, the theatre was renamed after Kerr, the acclaimed New York Times critic, and is now owned by Jujamcyn.

Winter Garden Theatre, 1634 Broadway

In 1911, architect William Albert Swasey remodeled the American Horse Exchange into the Winter Garden Theatre for the Shuberts. Herbert J. Krapp remodeled the 1,526-seat theatre in 1922, and in 2000 architect/designer Francesco Russo restored and renovated the venue.
