NYC Employee Theatre Discounts

The theatre community of NYC has much to offer each season, and now municipal employees have an opportunity to experience Broadway and Off-Broadway performances at substantial savings.

The Theatre Development Fund normally offers a ticket service for deeply discounted tickets for select eligible groups. The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, in association with the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Theatre Development Fund, has negotiated a special introductory subscription rate of $25.00 ($5 off) for the first year, for all new subscribers who are City of New York employees. You will only get this lower first year subscription rate if you type in 'NYC' as the PROMOTIONAL CODE when you sign up online. Members will receive discounts of up to 75% on a full-priced Broadway ticket and frequent offerings to attend shows at a fraction of box office prices.

As proof of eligibility, you must mail in a copy of your work or union ID within 30 days. If a City photo ID cannot be provided, an alternative proof of City employment must be provided, such as a pay-stub or letter on agency stationary proving City employment.
