The mission of the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting (MOFTB) in establishing its “Hot Shots” Photo Library (“Hot Shots”) is to inform the film and television industries of the wide variety of suitable locations for filming in New York City and to facilitate the permitting process for film and television production.  In using Hot Shots, please keep in mind the following:

Permit Requirements

The images depicted on Hot Shots are provided for the convenience of the entertainment production industry in scouting New York City locations.  If you wish to use a particular location depicted on this site, you must obtain the appropriate permits to do so.  Please contact MOFTB here to download an on-line permit to film in a particular location.

Use of Images

The photographic images included on Hot Shots are subject to copyright and are therefore protected by the intellectual property laws of the United States and other countries.  Hot Shots images are not to be used, copied, or retransmitted in any manner or for any purpose other than for online viewing and the printing of a single copy by the viewer to assist the entertainment production industry in finding suitable locations in New York City.  Failure to comply with these terms may result in civil and/or criminal penalties.

Warranty

MOFTB makes no representations or warranties as to the existence of releases or clearances associated with any image on this site; to the use of any names, trademarks, logos, uniforms, design, works of art or images of any person depicted on this site; or to the existence of any rights, clearances, consents, or permissions for the reproduction of any image on this site.
