Mayor de Blasio and Commissioner López Congratulate the 2015 “Made in NY” Primetime Emmy Winners

September 21, 2015 - The 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards were held Sunday, September 20th, and  “Made in NY” series won in 19 categories.

“New York City is home to a thriving and talented creative community that works hard every day to provide us with new art and entertainment. In addition to making New York City a global hub for entertainment, the shows recognized tonight bring important economic activity to our city,“ Mayor De Blasio said, “employing New Yorkers and contributing billions of dollars to our local economy. We congratulate all of tonight’s ‘Made in NY’ Emmy Award winners – the actors, directors, writers, producers, designers, and skilled craftspeople – and thank them for their contribution to the vibrancy and prosperity of New York City.“

“There is so much talent centered in New York City, and we’re thrilled that ‘Made in NY’ shows have been distinguished with Emmy Awards,” said Commissioner Cynthia Lopez. ”More television and digital series are being produced in New York City than ever before, and these Emmy Awards are a testament to the achievements of the thousands of New Yorkers who earn their living in the entertainment industry. ”
