“Made in NY” Films and TV Series Don’t ‘Stop’ in February

February 4, 2014 - An epic love story, a tense flight and a couple of spies debut on screen this month.

Based on the novel by Mark Helprin, Winter’s Tale recreates the early 20th century and present-day New York to follow a love story that defies the laws of time. Colin Farrell and Jessica Brown Findlay head the cast. Winter’s Tale opens in theatres on February 14.

Non-Stop stars Liam Neeson as an air marshal trying to save a plane full of passengers during a transatlantic flight. The film, which shot at York Studios in Maspeth, Queens, opens on February 28.

On television, the second season of “The Americans” on FX kicks off on Wednesday, February 26 at 10pm. The drama will intensify as the two KGB spies, who are posing as an all-American family, find their secret identities under threat.
