January 3, 2014 - New plays and a new musical make their way to Broadway as 2014 begins.

John Patrick Shanley’s new play Outside Mullingar stars Debra Messing and Brían F. O’Byrne as neighbors trying to make a connection with each other in Ireland. Performances begin at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on January 3.

The new play Bronx Bombers takes an inside look at the players that have worn pinstripes for the New York Yankees over the year. Previews start January 10 at the Circle in the Square Theatre.

The musical adaptation of The Bridges of Madison County comes to Broadway starring Kelli O’Hara and Steven Pasquale as a couple whose romance is set against the backdrop of American farmland. The show begins performances on January 17 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
