As Awards Season Kicks Off, “Made in NY” Shows Receive Numerous Nominations

January 3, 2014 - A number of “Made in NY” productions have been recognized with nominations by various guilds as awards season begins.

The 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will take place on January 18. The entire cast of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” has been recognized with a nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series while Steve Buscemi has been nominated for his role on the series. The show’s stunt ensemble also received a nomination for Outstanding Action Performance.

NBC’s “30 Rock” actors Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin both received nominations for their roles on the comedy series as did the cast for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

The Producers Guild Awards have also recognized a number of “Made in NY” television series in their nominations, including: “30 Rock,” “Inside the Actors Studio,” “Project Runway,” “The Colbert Report,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “Saturday Night Live” and “Sesame Street.” The Wolf of Wall Street was nominated for the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures.

The adapted screenplay for The Wolf of Wall Street has been nominated by the Writers Guild, and various “Made in NY” series are among the Writers Guild Awards nominees, including:
