“Made in NY” Films Go ‘Inside’ in December

December 4, 2013 - A host of “Made in NY” films this month look at the past and distant lands.

In the Coen Brothers’ latest venture, Inside Llewyn Davis, a young musician pounds the pavement of 1960s New York City in his attempt to make it as a folk singer. The film, which stars Oscar Isaac, Justin Timberlake and Carey Mulligan, among others, opens on December 20.

Set in the 1980s, The Wolf of Wall Street finds Leonardo DiCaprio taking on the role of a stockbroker who amasses a fortune under less than legal circumstances. Directed by Martin Scorsese, the film opens on December 25.

Ben Stiller stars in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, as a man who spends most of his time daydreaming about adventures until he finds himself on a real-life global adventure. Based on the short story by James Thurber, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty opens on December 25.
