August 1, 2013 - The Chelsea Film Festival is a brand new festival that seeks to promote independent films from around the world. For its inaugural year, the festival has chosen “Global Issues” as its theme and seeks low-budget, feature-length submissions that have been shot within the last two to three years. Eventually, a dozen films will be selected – two from each inhabited continent – and shown at the festival opening at the SVA Theatre from October 24 to 27.
Online submissions are available until September 24. To submit a film or learn more about New York City’s newest film festival, visit chelseafilm.org.
