Free Outdoor Movie Screenings Return in the Summer

June 3, 2013 - As summer begins so does the annual ritual of watching movies under the stars in the City. The following is a sample of various free outdoor screenings happening throughout the City:







2013 HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival
 Date: Mondays, beginning June 17
Time: Lawn opens at 5pm, film begins at sunset
Location: Bryant Park
Movies Shown: Tootsie, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Frenzy, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Hush…Hush, Sweet Charlotte, The African Queen, A Foreign Affair, Norma Rae, The Women, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

Intrepid Summer Movie Series
 Date: most Fridays in the summer, beginning May 24
Time: doors open at 7:30pm, film begins at sunset, no admission after 8:30pm

Movies Shown: National Treasure, Jaws, Star Trek (1979), Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, The Karate Kid.
