"Made in NY" Films Go 'Inside' in February

February 1, 2013 - A variety of genres hit theatres this month offering a little bit of everything for the New York moviegoer.

From writer/director Austin Chick, Girls Against Boys follows a woman headed down a vengeful path with a new friend. The film opens on February 1.

In A New York Love Story, Delphine, played by Apolla Echino, is a dancer looking for something less serious relationship. After meeting a painter, the two struggle to keep their relationship open but are pulled together by their creative connection and attraction. The film opens February 1.

Side Effects features an all-star cast including Catherine Zeta Jones, Channing Tatum, Rooney Mara and Jude Law. The psychological thriller follows Emily and Martin, played by Mara and Tatum, respectively, after unexpected side effects from a new prescription drug unravel their happy New York life. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the film opens on February 8.

The latest Coen Brothers film, Inside Llewyn Davis, shot in Queens, stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan and Justin Timberlake. The film follows the story of a singer-songwriter in New York’s 1960s folk music scene. It debuts on February 8.
