New Year, New "Made in NY" TV Shows

January 2, 2013 - With new action packed series joining the roster of “Made in NY” shows and the return of some of television’s most popular series, “Made in NY” shows set the tone for the New Year.

To probe the death of the heiress who was her best friend, a female detective goes undercover among a wealthy family in NBC’s new drama “Deception.” The series premieres Monday, January 7 at 10pm.

The Golden Globe-nominated comedy “Girls” begins its second season on HBO on January 13 at 9pm. Creator Lena Dunham also stars in the series about four girls in their twenties trying to figure out their lives in New York.

“The Carrie Diaries,” a prequel to “Sex and the City,” centers on a teenaged Carrie Bradshaw, played by AnnaSophia Robb, as she navigates her way through high school and finds her niche in 1980s Manhattan. The series premieres Monday, January 14 at 8pm on the CW.

In Fox’s new crime thriller “The Following,” Kevin Bacon stars as a former FBI agent tasked with working with an incarnated serial killer who has initiated a network of other serial killers under his control. The series premieres Monday, January 21 at 9pm.

USA’s “White Collar” returns for the conclusion of its fourth season on Tuesday January 22 at 10pm. The series, which stars Matt Bomer and Time DeKay, was recently renewed for a fifth season.

Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys star in the FX’s Cold War drama “The Americans” as two KGB spies posing as an everyday American couple. The series premieres Wednesday, January 30 at 10pm.

“30 Rock” and the world of Liz Lemon, Jack Donaghy and “TGS” comes to an end with the series finale on Thursday, January 31 at 8pm on NBC.
