"Made in NY" Productions Honored with Numerous Nominations this Awards Season

January 2, 2013 - As awards season begins, a number of "Made in NY" productions have been nominated for a variety of awards.

The Writers Guild of America has nominated the writing teams behind HBO's “Boardwalk Empire,” NBC's “30 Rock,” HBO's “Girls” and FX's “Louie.” “Girls” was also nominated as a new series as was the “30 Rock” episode “Leap Day.”

In the Comedy and Variety category, Comedy Central's “The Colbert Report” and “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and NBC's “Saturday Night Live” were nominated. “The 66th Annual Tony Awards” on CBS was nominated in the Music, Awards and Tributes category, and the “"Sesame Street” episode “The Good Sport” was nominated in the Children's Episodic and Specials category.

The Screen Actors Guild has also announced its nominees. “Boardwalk Empire” on HBO received nominations for Steve Buscemi as well as for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Julianna Margulies was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role on CBS’ “The Good Wife.”

“30 Rock” on NBC received several nominations for Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Louis C.K. was nominated for his performance on FX’s “Louie.”

Edie Falco received a nomination for her performance as Jackie Peyton in Showtime’s “Nurse Jackie.” The series was also nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be handed out live on NBC on Sunday, January 13. Among the "Made in NY" nominees are:
