| Broadway Stays 'Hot' in December 
December 3, 2012 - As December begins, revivals and transfers begin previews on Broadway.In The Other Place, Laurie Metcalfe returns to the role which previously won her an Obie Award, as a neurologist whose life begins to unravel one strand at a time. Performances begin at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on December 11. A town in the midwest and its female population are shaken when a stranger arrives in the Roundabout’s revival of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Picnic. The cast includes Mare Winningham, Elizabeth Marvel, Maggie Grace and Sebastian Stan. Previews start December 14 at the American Airlines Theatre. The Tennessee Williams classic Cat on a Hot Tin Roof returns to Broadway with Scarlett Johansson, Benjamin Walker, Ciarán Hinds and Debra Monk.
