"Made in NY" Films Due this Fall

September 4, 2012 - Two “Made in NY” films coming out in September – Bachelorette and Arbitrage – are of opposite genres, but have one thing in common: New York City.

A comedy set in midtown Manhattan’s Carleton Hotel, Bachelorette is the story of three women who are asked to be the bridesmaids of a woman they ridiculed in high school. Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher and Lizzy Kaplan star as a triad of friends who are pulled into the dysfunctional wedding of Becky, played by Rebel Wilson. Bachelorette, from writer/director Leslye Headland, is due out in theatres on September 7 with a limited release.

Arbitrage, from writer/director Nicholas Jarecki, is a Wall Street thriller. Richard Gere stars as a successful hedge fund magnate who makes a personal mistake that threatens the sale of his trading empire. Susan Sarandon plays Gere’s wife, Brit Marling his daughter and Tim Roth the NYPD detective looking to deliver justice to a Wall Street big shot. Arbitrage is due out September 14.
