"Made in NY" Productions in July Make for a Curious Combination

July 2, 2012 - This month, two “Made in NY” TV shows return, an independent film opens in theatres, and a former boxer will make his Broadway debut.

“Damages” returns for its final season as Ryan Phillippe joins Glenn Close, Rose Byrne and the rest of the cast. During its concluding run, the legal drama will focus on government transparency, corporations and digital communication. The season begins on Wednesday, July 11 at 9pm on DirecTV.

“White Collar” returns for its fourth season as Matt Bomer reprises his role as the former criminal turned FBI investigator. The premiere kicks off following the events of last season which left the team in very different places. New episodes air Tuesdays at 9pm on USA, beginning on July 10.

Inspired by the play La Ronde, the film 30 Beats is set in the midst of a New York heat wave with an international cast who plays a group of characters drawn together into a web of seduction. Written and directed by Alexis Lloyd, 30 Beats opens in theatres on July 20.

Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight boxing champion, begins his limited engagement on Broadway with Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth. Spike Lee directs this one-man show at the Longacre Theatre. Performances begin July 21.
