A "Made in NY" Film Puts on Its Shades
May 1, 2012 - A major movie franchise becomes a trilogy and a new comedy comes out with the latest releases of "Made in NY" films.
Sasha Baron Cohen dives into his latest larger-than-life character The Dictator, opening May 19. In the film, he plays the leader of a fictional country. The production shot on location in the City last summer.
Agents J and K return to theatres beginning May 25 with Men in Black 3. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones reprise their roles in this "Made in NY" film which also stars Emma Thompson and Josh Brolin. In the latest installment of agents in black suits keeping the planet safe from aliens, Smith's Agent J has to travel back in time to help save the universe.
One of the largest films ever to film in New York City, Men in Black 3 shot on location throughout the five boroughs, including: Van Nest Lanes in the Bronx, Citifield in Queens, Miller's Launch in Staten Island, Coney Island in Brooklyn, and Battery Park, the Chrysler Building and Chinatown in Manhattan.
