Local Theatre and Arts Head to the 'Fringe'

August 1, 2011 - The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), the largest multi-arts festival in North America, will celebrate its 15th annual showcase of talent from August 12-28. The festival is a stage for various art venues, such as theatre, dance, comedy, puppetry, spoken word, film and children’s theatre.

This year’s festival offerings include 1,200 performances over sixteen days. More than 200 companies are scheduled to participate.

The NYC Fringe Festival will also offer some special events. FringeJR offers family friendly productions recommended for children ages five to twelve. FringeAL FRESCO is a free outdoor celebration, and FringeClub is a place for artists and audiences to mix and mingle in the late-night.
