Film Festivals Head to the Boroughs in June

June 1, 2011 - This month, a slew of film festivals will take place around the boroughs, celebrating the City’s diversity and talented filmmakers.

Brooklyn Film Festival
The Brooklyn Film Festival aims to honor Brooklyn as a center for cinema as it presents independent films and sponsors forums, lectures and discussions. There will also be classes and workshops for both current and aspiring filmmakers to create, share and exhibit their work. The festival will take place from June 3-12. DocPoint NYC
DocPoint NYC celebrates Finnish documentaries with a program of 47 films from DocPoint, the largest documentary festival in the Nordic region. GenArt Film Festival
