Local Bus Shelters Highlight the Return of the Tribeca Film Festival
April 1, 2011 - This month, local bus shelters showcase a new film and the return of a local film festival.
The 2011 Tribeca Film Festival, which returns for its tenth year, is featured on a host of bus shelters throughout the City. This year’s festival features films from dozens of countries and includes numerous free events. The festival kicks off on April 20.
Also featured on bus shelters is the film White Irish Drinkers, which recreates 1975 Brooklyn in a story about a teenager who hides his artistic talents as he tries to avoid his violent, alcoholic father. When the opportunity comes to leave town with his brother, he faces the toughest decision of his life. The film, which was written and directed by John Gray, is currently in theatres.
The “Made in NY” Marketing Credit provides free co-branded advertising on City bus shelters to productions that shoot at least 75% of their work in New York City.
