SAG Honors "Made in NY" Actors with Nominations

January 3, 2011 - Nominations for the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards have been announced, and “Made in NY” productions are among the nominees. These awards honor outstanding performances over the past year, and the winners are chosen by fellow actors.

“Boardwalk Empire” received two nominations, one for Best Ensemble in a TV Drama and the other for its star Steve Buscemi. Nominations for Best Actress in a TV Drama went to Mariska Hargitay (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”), Glenn Close (“Damages”), and Julianna Margulies (“The Good Wife”). “The Good Wife” was also nominated for Best Ensemble in a TV Drama.

Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey were both nominated for their comedic performances on “30 Rock;” the series also received a nomination for its ensemble. Edie Falco was nominated for her role in “Nurse Jackie.”

Al Pacino and John Goodman were both nominated for Best Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries for their roles in the HBO film “You Don’t Know Jack” while Susan Sarandon received a nomination for Best Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries.

In film, Nicole Kidman was nominated for her performance in Rabbit Hole.
