"Made in NY" TV Shows 'Light' Up January

January 3, 2011 - A new series, new seasons, and new timeslots are all on the horizon for “Made in NY” television in January.

“Lights Out,” a new series from creator Warren Leight, premieres on FX later this month. Holt McCallany stars as Patrick “Lights” Leary, an aging boxing champion who struggles to support his family following his retirement from the ring. The series traces Lights as he deliberates whether to return to a life of boxing or accept a job as a debt collector. Catherine McCormack, Pablo Schreiver and Stacy Keach round out the cast. The first episode of “Lights Out” premieres at 10pm on Tuesday, January 11.

USA’s “White Collar” begins its third season this month at 10pm on Tuesday, January 18. The series stars Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer as a FBI agent and a con artist, respectively, who work together to catch criminals. Willie Garson, Tiffani Thiessen, Marsha Thomason and Sharif Atkins also star.

“Blue Bloods,” CBS’s new series starring Tom Selleck, moves to Wednesdays at 10pm starting on January 19. The show will return to its usual timeslot on Friday, February 11 at 10pm.

“Royal Pains” returns from its fall hiatus on Thursday, January 20. After being blacklisted from the medical community, Hank Lawson has becomes a “doctor for hire” in the Hamptons who caters to the rich and famous as well as to those less fortunate. The series stars Mark Feuerstein, Paulo Constazo, Reshma Shetty and Jill Flint. New episodes of “Royal Pains” will air Thursdays at 9pm on USA.

NBC’s “30 Rock” moves to 10pm on Thursdays beginning January 20.
