September 1, 2010 - Independent filmmakers, international directors, and local talents will gather at film festivals and other events throughout the City in September.

Urbanworld Film Festival
The 14th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival will take place at the AMC Theater on West 34th Street from September 15-19. The four day festival includes features, documentaries, short films, as well as panel discussions, live staged screenplay readings, and more. Visit Urbanworld.org to learn more.

Independent Film Week
This year’s Independent Film Week, hosted by IFP, will consist of a number of initiatives aimed at building industry interest in new work and offer opportunities for the independent film and media community to discover emerging talents. Williamsburg International Film Festival
Making its debut on September 23, the Williamsburg International Film Festival is an art, film and music festival event based in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. The four-day event was established to provide a creative platform for today’s emerging artists and a multimedia entertainment experience for the public and to acknowledge the diverse cultural offerings of New York City’s most populous borough.
