Summer + New York City = Free Outdoor Screenings

July 8, 2010 - Summer in New York City means spending the evenings with loved ones watching movies under the stars. Here’s a sample of some of the free outdoor film screenings happening around the City:

2010 HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival
Date: Mondays, until August 23
Location: Bryant Park
Time: Lawn opens at 5 pm, film begins at sunset
Movies Shown: The French Connection, My Man Godfrey, The China Syndrome, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Rosemary’s Baby, The Goodbye Girl, 12 Angry Men, Bonnie and Clyde

Intrepid Summer Movie Series
Date
: July 9, July 23, August 6, August 20
Time: doors open at 7:30 pm, film begins at sunset
Location: The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum at Pier 86
Movies Shown: Ghostbusters, The Goonies, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Rocky

Movies with a View
Date: Thursdays, until September 2
Time: 6:00 pm, film begins around sunset
Location: Pier 1, Brooklyn Bridge
Movies Shown: Annie Hall, Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D, The Big Lebowski, Rear Window, Brokeback Mountain, Dreamgirls, The Blues Brothers, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

Outdoor Summer Movie Series at Firefighters’ Field, Roosevelt Island
