Internet Week Returns to NYC in June

May 10, 2010 - Internet Week is back beginning on June 7. Celebrating the City's Internet and digital community, a variety of events will be held throughout the week.

Among the many events scheduled, the Conversational Marketing Summit will take place each day, in which the industry's leading companies and professionals will gather to discuss the advancements made in the Internet over the past year. This year there will be panels and training on topics such as social media brand building, digital marketing, and Google Analytics.

CNN and Mashable are hosting a daylong conference on the impact of social media on the news industry, big brands, and advertisers. On June 14, Modern Media hosts an event called TWTRCON NY: Twitter for Business, to show how top organizations use that 140-character limit to their benefit.

Also scheduled are many networking events, from concerts to cocktails to rock-climbing. Joining Internet Week on June 10 is Obliterati, a monthly event intended to encourage networking between those who work in old and new media, public relations and web 2.0. To conclude the week, as always, the Webby Awards, honoring interactive design, creativity, usability and functionality on the Internet, will take place on June 14.
