NYC life and NYC gov to Air "Hope for Haiti" Telethon

January 22, 2010 - Tune in to NYC life and NYC gov on Friday, January 22 at 8pm as they air MTV Networks’ earthquake relief telethon “Hope for Haiti.”

Leading the charge for “Hope for Haiti” will be George Clooney in Los Angeles, Wyclef Jean in New York City and CNN’s Anderson Cooper from Haiti. The two-hour telethon will be broadcast from New York City and Los Angeles, and will feature musical performances and celebrity appearances as well as live news reports from CNN. The telethon airing on NYC life and NYC gov will include details on how New Yorkers can donate to help the people of Haiti. To provide a secure vehicle for donations, the City established the Haiti Relief Fund at the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City. They have been consulting with the Clinton Global Initiative and others and will ensure 100% of contributions are directed to reputable organizations that are providing relief in Haiti, such as the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders, where they have already directed funds.
