December 1, 2009 - As the temperature turns cooler, New Yorkers are gearing up for the famed and favored holiday tradition of the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting. On December 2, the two-hour long televised event will air on NBC beginning at 7pm EST and feature musical performances and celebrity appearances. Illumination of the tree will take place at 8:55pm.
Other tree locations throughout the City include The Pond at Bryant Park and Dante Park located on 63rd Street and Broadway.
