City Bus Shelters Search for 'Letters' This December

December 1, 2009 - Local bus shelters in New York City highlight a “Made in NY” show’s DVD release and the return of a holiday-themed Muppets special.

Thirty-four bus shelters showcased the latest DVD release of “Rescue Me.” The FX series follows the complicated lives of a group of NYC firefighters and stars Denis Leary. Season 5 will be released on Tuesday, December 8.

The NBC special “A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa” was also featured on 18 bus shelters. Kermit, Fozzie, and Gonzo race to save Christmas after mistakenly averting three letters from making their way to Santa. The special also stars a few human friends including Whoopi Goldberg, Jane Krakowski and Jesse L. Martin and airs on Friday, December 11 at 8pm EST and Saturday, December 29 at 8pm EST.

The co-branded bus shelter advertisements are part of the “Made in NY” Marketing Credit, which provides free advertising on city bus shelters to productions that shoot 75% of their work in New York City and local cultural festivals.
