Entertainment Engineering: Structural and Financial Strategies for Production Companies Panel to Take Place October 26

October 1, 2009 - On Monday, October 26, the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting, New York Women in Film and Television (NYWIFT), and HSBC will hold a panel focusing on small businesses in the entertainment industry and how to navigate the current economic situation. The panel will take place at the HSBC Building, 452 Fifth Avenue; RSVP is required.

Panelists have been assembled from top legal, accounting, banking, production and financial planning experts. Among the topics to be discussed will be: forming a company as an advantageous legal entity, maximizing staffing while minimizing payroll costs, and coming up with new ways to create and maintain a revenue stream. The panel will be moderated by a representative from the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre, and Broadcasting.

Panelists include:

EVAN BELL – Managing Partner of Bell & Co., CPA's, P.C.

DAN CAREY – a partner at Touchy Feely Films, a New York-based production company

ALEXANDRA LEVI – Managing Partner, Element Financial Group

BENJ WHITEHOUSE - Cast & Crew, an entertainment payroll company
