June 12, 2009 - The NYC Food Film Festival is a multi-sensory experience where filmgoers are able to watch food films then sample the food portrayed in those films.
For seven nights in June, over 20 brand new food-related films (some shorts, some longer-form) will be screened. Afterwards, audiences get to sample the food featured in the films. Every night will also feature food film related cocktails prepared by Festival Mixologist Marshall Altier.
Highlights include a screening of the classic Stanley Tucci/Isabella Rossellini film Big Night on June 18th followed by a tasting of the famous Timpano dish from the dinner scene in the movie. On June 19 at the Closing Night Awards Ceremony, MOFTB Commissioner Katherine Oliver and NBC’s Cat Greenleaf will serve as jurors.
