March 2, 2009 - The MOFTB’s PSA campaign – “Reel Jobs. Reel Proud. Real New Yorkers.” – has recently launched as an application on the popular networking site Facebook.

Initially unveiled in December 2008, the campaign is designed to inform local residents about the importance of the film and television industry and thank them for hosting production in their neighborhood. The Facebook application went live at the end of February 2009 and within days has received over 70,000 views.

The Facebook application features videos of all eight broadcast PSAs, information about the campaign, and examples of its print component. The application was generously created by Involver, a video marketing platform designed for social networks.
